August Mission in Cardiff from August 8th-11th

The Diocesan Evangelisation Commission has organised an August Mission in Cardiff from August 8th-11th.  The Mission has the full support of our new Archbishop Mark O’Toole. Members of the Genesis Team will be coming from Plymouth, including Michele Thompson and Fr. John Bielawski, two of the founders of the Genesis Programme.

We are grateful to Fr. Robert James for making the Cathedral and the Mostyn Room available to us and to Fr. Nick Williams for accommodating our visitors in the University Chaplaincy.

Many of the parish Synodal Reports mentioned the need for formation/training, including training in how to evangelise.  This Mission will provide such training.

The Mission is open to all parishioners, all clergy and all deacons.

The Diocesan Evangelisation Commission has planned a Mission from the 8th -10th August 2022 in Cardiff.  On Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th August, there will be training in the morning, Mass at 12.45pm, lunch in the Cornerstone and Mission in the street in the afternoon, accompanied by a member of the team.  On Tuesday evening, 7pm – 9pm, there will be Open Church in the Cathedral – inviting people into the Cathedral to light a candle, say a prayer and maybe have a chat. You are invited and are very welcome to participate in this Mission. You can do all of it, one day or a part or parts of a day. Many parishes’ Synodal Reports mentioned the need for formation/training, including training in how to evangelise. This Mission will provide such training. For more information and to book, please email madeleine.walters@rcadc.org
