CAFOD
Just One World
CAFOD stands for the Catholic Agency For Overseas Development. They are an international development charity and the official aid agency of the Catholic Church in England and Wales.
They stand beside people living in poverty – whatever their religion or culture. Through local church partners, they help people directly in their own communities, and campaign for global justice, so that everyone can reach their full potential.
CAFOD has the primary aim of helping people to help themselves. They also respond to aid requests in an humanitarian crisis. On a local level they have parish volunteers who campaign on their behalf by promoting the CAFOD Fast Days, highlighting calls to action through petitions and holding activities within the parish.
CAFOD long for more parish volunteers to promote their work and help progress their cause. If you have a passion for social action this may be the role for you.
