The Blessing of the Christmas Prayer Tree 2021

With gifts for children and adults alike, Our Lady & St Patrick’s Church celebrated Mass today, followed by the Blessing of the Christmas Prayer Tree, where mulled wine was served to keep out the winter chill.  The Blessing was followed by a lunch in the Parish Hall, where guests were treated to a heart warming bowl of winter vegetable soup, a bread roll, turkey & stuffing nibbles, hot mince pies and caramel brownies, washed down with tea and coffee.  Children enjoyed an activity of making their own Christmas lanterns, before receiving their gifts of chocolate money, a nutcracker soldier and a miniature nativity.  Further more the adults all received a Secret Santa gift from Fr Edmund.  It was a joyous social occasion and as they say ‘a good time was had by all!’
